Zainteresiranim studentima prenosimo informacije i linkove:  We are extremely happy to inform you that the call to the fourth edition of “EASTWEEK – Script Writing Workshop for New Talents”, a training initiative focused on a storytelling workshop, open to Film Schools and Film Academies from Central and Eastern European countries, organised and conceived by the Trieste Film Festival in partnership with the Cultural Association Mattador and Maia Workshops, is now open!

The workshop will be held in Trieste, Italy, and hosted by the 28^th Trieste Film Festival, taking place from 20 to 29 January 2017.

This intensive training course, led by two European professional tutors, will be based on stories for cinema and will be articulated into team works, Q&A sessions, masterclasses, case studies and one-to-one meetings.

On a European level this workshop represents a unique and original talent campus addressed to film students and young graduates, who will be provided with a full immersion and advanced laboratory completely devoted to a creative discussion on storytelling, where each student’s project will have the chance to be enhanced and structured thanks to the collaboration and active support of the trainers.*

The programme will offer participants a unique moment of stimulating discussions, team group work and, most of all, brainstorming meetings where all the students will acquire professional tools in order to continue to write and shape their stories after the workshop. Its main goal is to offer project development in regards to concept, story structure and creative issues in order to fully develop the participating stories, from first or subsequent draft to final draft, through a process of workshop that emphasizes story analysis, revision and rewriting.

Some of the best known screenwriting teachers as well as film industry representatives from Central and Eastern Europe will be engaged as trainers in the workshop. Furthermore, we will host some renowned international screenplay writers, filmmakers, industry experts and film personalities for specific lectures and Q&A sessions.

We would like to ask you to operate a first selection among your students’ and young graduates’ best projects to  be submitted to our Selection Committee, who will then operate a second and final selection of the scripts to be admitted to the workshop. The Selection Committee will be made of the two trainers and some members of the Trieste Film Festival team. Please remember that only fiction feature films projects will be taken into consideration.

We would like to receive by email your proposals by mid October 2016 in order to have a final selection possibly by November. Each submitted script should be around 5/6 pages and written in English. Once the selection is made, we will let you know the names of the students admitted to the workshop with their projects.
